How to Cast to TiVo Stream 4K from Smartphone
1. Make sure your TiVo Stream 4K and Android Phone (Android or iPhone) are connected to the same WiFi.
2. On your smartphone, open any app with the Cast support. If you use an iPhone, launch any application with the AirPlay support.
3. Tap the Cast icon or AirPlay icon on the playback screen. From the list of devices menu, select your TiVo Stream 4K. Wait a moment for it to connect.
Note: If you can’t find the Cast or AirPlay icon, go to the Notification Panel (Android) or Control Center (iPhone) and tap the Cast icon or Screen Mirroring icon. Then, choose your TiVo Stream device from the menu.
4. Once the app screen appears on the TV, pick the content you want to watch on the app. It should start playing on your TV.
How to Cast to TiVo Stream 4K from PC
To cast from a PC, use either the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser. Ensure your PC and TiVo Stream 4K are connected to the same WiFi and that the browser is up to date.
1. Launch the Google Chrome browser or Microsoft Edge browser on your PC.
2. On the browser, click the three-dotted icon at the top-right and follow the steps below based on the browser you use.
- Google Chrome – Tap the Cast, save and share. Then, choose the option Cast.
- Microsoft Edge – Hit the option More tools and select Cast media to device.
3. Tap your TiVo Stream 4K device from the menu and click the drop-down icon next to Sources.
4. From the options, Cast tab, Cast Desktop, and Cast file, choose your desired one.
5. Within seconds, your PC screen will be mirrored on the TV.
FAQ
You can’t cast to TiVo Stream if it’s not connected to the same WiFi network as your casting device or if there’s an issue with the casting app or device settings. Ensure both devices are on the same WiFi and check for software updates. If an update is available, update the device to the latest version.
